Key to this change was the implementation of New Public Management (NPM). This was a movement aimed at using management techniques used in the private sector in the public sector, with an emphasis on competition. This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tutorsindia.com\/our-services\/masters-dissertation-writing-services\/dissertation-topic\/\">master\u2019s Dissertation on UK Corporate Governance<\/a> aims to evaluate the changes brought about in corporate governance in the United Kingdom by the Thatcher administration\u2019s implementation of NPM. It saw them as inefficient and bureaucratic.
